HOW WE MET

Esu & Idara

My maiden name is Idara Emmanuel Akpan. I met Mr Esu through a family friend. My family friend was in town from school, (in Ghana) and wanted to see me. So since he did not have a car at the time and did not know his way around town, his friend who happened to be my hubby drove him down.

After that first meeting our friendship grew. He became a very good friend and we grew very close, he never asked me out and I was cool with that. He is a complete gentle man and has a beautiful soul.

About a year passed and I was called to Lagos for a job with globacom. I was gonna be leaving town and I was so excited. That is when Ekpereonne opened up and started pouring out his heart to me. It was hard for me at first because i was looking forward to a new start. Besides I wasn't
really a fan of long distance relationships. I thought long and hard then finally it was a "yes".

I traveled and our relationship grew further then about a year later, just two days before my birthday, he proposed. And today, here we are.
